Abu Dhabi, UAE / Germany – July 2026 – The fifth edition of the Jusoor International Leadership Program is now underway, bringing a new cohort of Emirati final-year undergraduate students to Germany for an eight-week industry placement as part of their mandatory university internship. The German Emirati Institute (GEI) in cooperation with PhoeniX17 Global and the Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau, is executing the programme, which is sponsored by Sandooq Al Watan under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence.
Following a comprehensive preparation phase in the UAE, participants are now completing internships across Germany, where they work alongside industry experts, contribute to real business projects, and gain first-hand experience in international work environments. The programme combines technical learning with intercultural exchange, helping students build the skills, confidence, and global perspective needed for successful professional careers.
Since its launch in 2022, Jusoor has enabled more than 100 Emirati final-year undergraduate students to complete their mandatory internships within German industry, making it one of the leading initiatives for strengthening educational and economic cooperation between the UAE and Germany.
Building Future Leaders Through Industry Experience
Jusoor bridges the gap between academic education and professional practice by giving students the opportunity to apply their knowledge in real industrial environments. During their placements, participants become part of international teams, gain insights into German innovation, engineering excellence, and quality standards, and develop a deeper understanding of global business culture.
Beyond technical expertise, the programme strengthens intercultural communication, teamwork, problem-solving, adaptability, and professional confidence—competencies that are increasingly essential in today's international workplace.
Growing Industry Partnerships
The success of Jusoor is built on the commitment of German companies that actively invest in developing the next generation of Emirati talent.
This year's programme once again brings together long-standing partners including Diehl Aerospace, ArianeGroup (in partnership with TII), Wilo, Stoof, and Iplas. At the same time, the network continues to grow with the addition of new industry partners FCM, BMC/SKZ, RSA Talke, and Sauerbruch, reflecting the increasing interest of German industry in engaging with highly qualified young professionals from the UAE.
Together, these partnerships provide students with valuable insights across a broad range of industries while strengthening collaboration between German companies and the UAE's future workforce.
Creating Long-Term Connections Between Germany and the UAE
For participating companies, Jusoor offers far more than hosting an intern. It provides direct access to highly motivated Emirati final-year undergraduate students, valuable insights into the UAE's future workforce, gaining future workforce to fulfill Emiratization goals, increasing company visibility at the government and society and the opportunity to establish long-term relationships with one of Germany's most important strategic partners in the Gulf region.
As the programme continues to grow, the German Emirati Institute welcomes additional companies interested in becoming part of the Jusoor network and contributing to the development of future Emirati professionals while strengthening their own international engagement.
